Next week begins the holiday season. In the US here we begin with Thanksgiving and to impress your guests here is a delicious and easy vanilla apple tart! All you need is a pastry shell, some fresh apples, and about twenty minutes for prep. That’s it! It’s a perfect recipe that you can throw together when you’re short on time but need to people please. Read on for the recipe below.
Vanilla Apple Tart Ingredients
- 14 inch rectangle tart pan – here’s the link to mine from Amazon
- Coconut cooking spray
- Pre made pie crust
- 5 apples
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Honey
- Vanilla Extract
Vanilla Apple Tart Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 F and grease your tart shell with the coconut cooking spray.
Take your pre-made pie crust and roll it together into a ball. The heat from your hands will soften the dough so you can roll it out of it into your tart shell. - Roll out your dough and place it into your tart shell. Be sure its not too thick or clumpy – since it will rise. You want an even thin layer in the shell.
- Peel the skin off your apples and thinly slice them. Place them into a bowl with lemon water to prevent them from browning.
- When all the slices are cut, drain the water from the apple slices and sprinkle sugar, cinnamon, honey, and a splash of vanilla extract over the apples. Mix to make sure everything is coated.
- Artistically arrange the apple slices within the tart shell. Pack them as close as you can since you want it to look full.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the tart crust is golden brown and the apples are soft.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream!
It’s super easy and what I love is that the ingredients are simple. You very likely have everything in your pantry right now!
