Today I’m sharing one of my favorite spots in all of Chicago – The Allis Soho House! Located on 113 North Green Street in Chicago’s West Loop its a perfect spot for brunch with the girls or some quiet alone time. Let me take you on a photo journey and share why you need to make a reservation.
The Vibe
First of all, its utterly gorgeous and gives off a cozy, yet fancy feel. Located in a former 1907 warehouse the space is filled with large glittering chandeliers, marble table tops, dark wood furniture, and plush velvet sofas. I love everything about the vibe and look of this place. I’d love to decorate my house like this if budget was not an issue. It’s also the perfect backdrop for photos and quite “instagrammable.”
Sunshine spills through the floor to ceiling window panes and shines light on the most delicious food you’ll ever have. Served on blue and white dish ware you can indulge in sweet pastries, gourmet mac and cheese, and overflowing vegetable platters.
The Tea
The Allis is famous for its afternoon tea service. It’s a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with your girls! Last year, I attended their high tea to celebrate a good friend’s birthday and it was so much fun. We enjoyed mini sandwiches, macaroons, fruit covered sweets, and a variety of tea blends on their beautiful porcelain dish ware.
The People Watching
The Allis also attracts some interesting folk and is a great spot for people watching. You’ll usually see someone aloof working studiously on their laptop next to a table of girlfriends celebrating a special occasion with some high tea. It’s a great blend of people and welcoming to all.
Have I convinced you to make a reservation yet? Plan a visit and let me know what you ended up eating. I’m working my way through the menu so am curious to see what people ended up tasting and loving!
