My Favorite Period Dramas

Winter is here and many of us are in winter hibernation mode. I don’t know about you but in this cold I have no desire to leave the house and be social. On these cold dark nights there’s nothing better than putting on a good movie – and if you don’t know by now I am a lover of period dramas. Basically, if the movie is set before 1970 and there are costumes, I’m probably going to like it.

I love how these films take you back to a different time, and I usually like them not just for their classic story lines, but also the amazing visuals that come with period dramas. The settings, the costumes, are usually a feast for the eye. And I love how the actors work hard to recreate a bygone world.

I’m always being asked for recommendations , so I’ve gathered a list of my favorites below – check them out and let me know what you ended up loving.
