There is nothing better than ice cream in the summertime! I love going for walks on warm summer nights and finishing the day with a cool ice cream. Lately I’ve been much more health conscious and wanted to try out a healthy alternative to ice cream and tried out this homemade Green Tea frozen yogurt. I’m obsessed with matcha for its clean fresh flavor which is perfect for summer. It doesn’t hurt that it has tons of health benefits either! The recipe comes from Buzzfeed’s popular Tasty page — (one of the more productive finds from late night Facebook scrolling sessions!)
The prep for this green tea frozen yogurt is so quick and easy – perfect for busy summers filled with outdoor activities and social events. The best part is that you only need three ingredients.
Ingredients
- Frozen Yogurt (I used Fage’s Greek Yogurt)
- Matcha Powder
- Honey
All you have to do is mix everything together – pop in the freezer and wait a few hours before your first scoop.
The final product is delicious – a little tart from the Greek yogurt and fresh tasting from the matcha. I sprinkled some almonds on top for a crunch but think fresh blueberries or shaved coconut would also be a great option. Try this out and let me know how it goes.
