One of my lock down and pregnancy treats to myself has been this Earl Grey Oat Milk Latte. It’s delicious and adds a little bit of luxury to my day.
I gave up caffeine months ago to try to help us get pregnant and now that I’m actually pregnant I’m being very cautious about caffeine and have avoided it thus far. Still, I love the taste of earl grey, and this decaf version from Harney & Sons has me almost fooled that it’s the real thing.
To compound matters, now that we’re also in lock down, our favorite cafes and restaurants are temporarily closed and many of us may be missing our foamy latte drinks. Well with the help of a $3 milk frother from Ikea you can make yourself the next best thing: an at home latte. Here’s how!
Early Grey Oat Milk Latte Ingredients *
- Boiled Water
- Earl Grey Tea Pack – (I’m using Harney & Sons Decaf Earl Grey, but you can use any black tea flavor you like)
- Oat Milk
- Dash of cinnamon
- Dash of simple syrup, honey, or sugar (if desired)
*I’m purposely not providing measurements because this will all depend on the size of the tea cup you use. Instead I’ll share the ratios in the Directions below.
Directions
- Boil your water and heat up your oat milk.
- Once your water boils – pour about 1/3 of the cup full of water and steep your tea for at least 10 minutes. You want it strong.
- If desired add a dash of simple syrup for sweetness. Honey or sugar also works.
- Once the oat milk is heated – take the milk frother and froth your milk!
- Remove your tea bag or leaves and then pour your oatmilk into the remaining 2/3 of your glass.
- Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top and enjoy !
Hopefully our beloved cafes can open up soon, but this will be a drink that I love because it can be made anytime in you’re home! This would be delicious with any type of black tea as well (English Breakfast, Irish Blend) – so feel free to give it a try and let me know which flavor you like best.

Looks like you meant to say “anytime you’re home” instead of “your”.
Thanks so much – I made the edit 🙂
